The Pinnacle Society considers placements that you have another recruiter work on either by sourcing the candidate or maintaining the relationship with the client as a 50/50 split. Many of our members own executive search firms. Many have an administrative support person (secretary) that will assist by checking references, typing letters and various other support services. In those cases such as this the member handles both the candidate interaction as well as the client interaction, and as such the Pinnacle Society does not consider that a split. However, on other searches the member may get one of their staff recruiters to do the candidate sourcing and then the member will then present those candidates to the client and basically take over through the interview process to the offer extension and on boarding follow up. In those cases the Pinnacle Society considers that a split and as such when members report their volume they only credit their personal production volume as 50% of the fee. On searches/placements in which the member’s staff of recruiters conduct (in which they maintain both the client as well as the candidate interaction), the Pinnacle Society does not consider this personal production and the firm owner gets no credit for those placements when calculating personal production. Please report volumes below based on this definition…production you can easily claim as personally having produced versus production that you managed.
Short version: Count production dollars you’d be paid commissions on if you were an individual producer being paid commissions on production.
