Overview

The Pinnacle Society conferences are held twice a year - in April and in October. The conference usually starts Thursday morning and ends with a Saturday evening dinner. Members are welcome to bring a spouse or guest to the dinners only. Conferences are held at resorts or large cities so there is always an abundance of activities for your family or guest while you are in your meetings.

The cost for each conference is approximately $750.00. It can vary based on location and other factors. The cost includes most meals, outside speakers when applicable, meeting rooms, entertainment and other incidentals. Detailed registration information for the conference is sent to members via email and is also posted on this website. Members are expected to make their own reservations and pay for both the airfare and the hotel.

Typical Agenda
  • Thursday (business casual) is the Manager's Meeting. We discuss management issues such as problems that arise in running a firm, problems involving managing people, how to best utilize research assistants, etc. Members of Pinnacle who are not managers do not come for this day, however; everyone is welcome.
  • Thursday evening (casual) is the Board Meeting followed by a dinner with the board and any potential members attending their first conference. Guests/spouses are invited. Even if a potential member does not attend the Thursday meeting, it is suggested that you attend the dinner. We hold it at places that are not to be missed such as Emeril's in New Orleans and Spago in Beverly Hills. It is fun and a great way to meet the Pinnacle family.
  • Friday (business casual) is a Personal Production Meeting. Issues regarding personal production and how to improve it. Strict adherence to the rule of not talking about management problems on those days.
  • Friday evening (business dress), we have a big event - an elegant dinner followed by some kind of professional entertainment -- in the past a hypnotist has mesmerized us; an Elvis impersonator has crooned to us; we have gone on boat rides in the moonlight, had a Blues Brothers band play… Guests/spouses are invited.
  • Saturday (casual) is the same as Friday where we discuss personal production issues. We also have the General Business meeting.
  • Saturday evening (casual) is a dinner at a restaurant outside the hotel. Guests/spouses are welcome.

In addition to speakers, we have many roundtables during the conference. Each member poses a topic they would like to discuss at the roundtable discussion and input is elicited from the members on all pertinent topics.
