Lucas Group Managing Partner, Jim Barnhill, has built an eleven(11) year track record of success in the executive search business. With a focus in Human Resources and Accounting & Finance, he has established a deep network of world class talent. Jim specializes in recruiting and placing mid to upper level professionals across a range of HR and Accounting & Finance disciplines. Jim was hired as an Executive Recruiter at Lucas Group in 1998 and in subsequent years has been promoted six(6) times and became a Managing Partner in March of 2008. He currently manages a group of ten(10) Accounting & Finance recruiters and still produces in both the HR and A&F space. As a producer, his recruiting practice is national in scope and is a blend of contingency and contained placement. Deeply committed to the success of his clients, Jim has established a successful recruiting track record with numerous small to mid market companies. He has also recruited successfully with a number of Fortune 500 clients including but not limited to AIG, Delta Airlines, Electronic Arts, Frito-Lay, Regions Bank, Sara Lee, Target and Wells Fargo.
Jim has a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Delaware and a Master of Arts degree from The University of Tennessee. Jim was a teacher and coach for a private school in West Tennessee for three(3) years in between undergraduate and graduate school. He received his Masters degree and moved to Atlanta in 1998, and he went to work for Lucas Group that same year. Jim and his wife, Tara, have been married for nine (9) years and reside in Roswell, Georgia with their two boys, Graham and Charlie.
