Carl joined Professions, Inc. in November 1975 and became a stockholder, President and CEO in January 1976. In 1981 Carl replaced himself as President and is currently serving as Chairman. Carl joined the Pinnacle Society in February 1996, and remains one of the top billing partners at Professions.

In January 2010 Carl celebrated his 40th year as a recruiter. His specialty centers on the paper and packaging industry with mills, distributors and converters. Company-wide, Professions has client relationships in the areas of banking, commercial construction, durable medical equipment and rapid prototyping. Many of Carl's client relationships go back several years, with a few over 30 years. Carl has the ability of not only finding the candidate who fits the job specifications, but one who also fits the corporate culture. This is proven through his high lifetime retention of recruited talent. Carl is also known for the search and recruiting of top performing diversity candidates.

Carl is the past President, Education Committee Chairperson, and Ethic Chairperson of Southwestern Ohio Employment Associates and a past Trustee of the Ohio Association of Personnel Consultants.  In 2007 and 2008 Carl served as the President of Ohio Association of Executive Search Professionals and has been on the board for the last 5 years.  Carl still works 6 days a week.  Carl is published in various trade journals, has been asked to serve on many panels at conventions, and has conducted seminars on such topics as "Employee Retention", "Successful Recruiting Tips", "Hiring the Best Candidate the Right Way", and many more. He has also been the keynote speaker at colleges and high schools throughout the nation on such topics as "Careers" and "What Employers are Looking for in Potential Employees." Carl has also served as an expert witness in lawsuits and trials regarding non-compete agreements.
