Testimonials from October, 2003
The October, 2003 conference was held in Vancouver, Canada. Everyone had a great time, learned, and got motivated! Check out their testimonials, and if you missed this conference, there's another coming soon in Santa Fe, New Mexico!
"These gatherings are becoming like family reunions for me. I haven't missed one since joining and I don't intend to. Like reunions, they are great when they are small because the interaction is more intimate. They are just as rewarding when everyone shows up because of the greater diversity and exposure to more ideas. "That alone will spur you to pick up the phone." Dave Staats
"This was a GREAT meeting. We were able to work and talk so intensely about the really important parts of how we do our job that I came back to my desk (and my phone!) feeling skilled and ready to DO things differently, not just ideas that, IF I flushed out, MIGHT..." Kathleen Kurke
"Mike Gutowski's presentation on "Prepping the candidate" is a winner. I have used it for years and when hearing him present it again, I realized that I took a few steps out. Since returning from the meeting, I have implemented the full prep and am closing more deals. Remember, "preparation breeds confidence"... And yes, Mike is a perfect example of how that works! It was also great hearing from Terry Carver and seeing him again. He reinforces what we all need to do to maintain success in a tough economy. I am so glad I went to Vancouver and felt I took away a renewed motivation and passion for this business. THANKS! " Jackie Nabat
"Nick Miller was excellent and I learned much about how to market our value and differentiate our firm in a meaningfully unique way.
"Terry, Mike and Mike all shared great pearls and "how to's" in their personally perfected processes that have proven successful for decades in good markets and in not as good markets. It is these tried and true recruiting methods so prevalent at Pinnacle that separate the top producers from the average and it is always a "kick in the pants" to be reminded by one and other about the basics. I always come back to my desk refreshed and rearing to go after a great conference like this past one." Kim Downey
"Vancouver was an amazing meeting! I think it needs to be said that smaller still packed a whole lot of punch!! The generosity that Pinnacle members display in regard to sharing their secrets and vulnerabilities always leaves me in awe. To be able to spend two days listening to the likes of Terri Carver, Mike Goldman, and Michael Gutowski speak, I was able to go away inspired and grateful. As always the round table sessions were also a great resource for new "techniques." Thank you Gail, Diana and Board for ALL of the hard work you put forth to make these meetings so very successful! " Kim Knoll
"There has never been a Pinnacle meeting that I have not felt a renewed sense of motivation when I got back to my desk. Because Vancouver was a smaller group, I found it easy to hear about how people are doing, what they are doing and who they are doing it to in a way that was easily put to use. In a sense Vancouver was a "Tailor Made" conference for big and senior biller's who candidly shared information, more so because of the small number of attendees. It reminded me of Pinnacle's earlier conferences that I really had a good time at." Diana Gazola, CPC
"I took 14 pages of notes and I am not much of a note taker but how could you not with all the great ideas floating around. I really enjoyed the entertainment at the formal dinner and the great restaurant on the final days dinner outing. I had so much fun that last night out I can't even remember it!! Bravo! See you in Santa Fe." Joe Pelayo
"Since I first became a member of Pinnacle in 2000 each successive conference has been better and better. The Vancouver meetings recently were a great use of my time and fun too! I was able to take away a multitude of tactical day to day process refinements as well as more strategic marketing related ideas. I particularly enjoyed Nick Miller's program on Clarity Marketing in which we discussed differentiating ourselves from the masses.
"I highly recommend Pinnacle as a forum to meet and exchange ideas with some to the industry's best. Personally, I am honored to be part of such a great group of people and am looking forward to our next conference in Santa Fe in Spring 2004." Cindy Fletcher
"The Vancouver conference was absolutely incredible! The group of members that attended were in tip top form. I've always said that if you get the best in their industry at what they do and pick their minds and don't come out a better person then your brain dead. Everyone had questions and everyone had solutions. That's what makes these conferences so good. My brain is ready to explode.
"Nick Miller did an awesome presentation on "How to market yourself differently". Cindy Fletcher was exceptional at the round table discussion for managers. Mike Goldman, Terry Carver when they talk I listen, just great stuff. I told everyone there that" I am humble just to be here " thank you everyone and I look forward to picking your brain in Sante Fe." Nick Joly, CPC
